About the Presenters
Ken M. Kramer, Q.C. is the founder and principal of KMK Law, a boutique law firm in downtown Vancouver, BC, providing specialized legal services in the areas of Estates, Trusts, Administration, Elder Law, Estate Litigation and Mediation for the past 25 years. Ken has a unique understanding of the disability community combined with his expertise in the area of estates and trusts law to serve families with disabilities. He is extremely passionate and a strong advocate for both the disability and seniors communities and greatly appreciates the opportunity to give back to these important groups.
He has served on numerous boards and committees over the past 30 years with a focus on disability and seniors issues. One of Ken’s biggest passions has been in the area of home care supports and specifically, the Choices for Support In Independent Living program (“CSIL”). Ken has led community negotiations and collaborations with the Province of British Columbia for over 10 years.
These discussions have led to significant improvements in the CSIL program including, two significant rate increases, culminating in over $25 million being allocated to the home care community in British Columbia. Ken was also recognized for his service to the community with the distinguished honour of receiving both the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 and his Queen’s Counsel designation in 2014. Ken also enjoys spending quality time and travels with his spouse, Cora, and 14-year-old daughter, Victory.
Audrey Jun is an associate at KMK Law. Audrey combines her legal background with a grounding in public legal education to bring a unique perspective to her practice. She has presented at local, provincial and national conferences in both Canada and the U.S. on the use of technology and public legal education to further access to justice, and was featured in CBA’s Legal Futures Initiative – Do Law Differently: Futures for Young Lawyers.
